Short-term disability is provided to eligible employees after a 12-month waiting period. Benefits includes 60% of employee's earnings for disability, pregnancy, or periodic absences due to major chronic conditions.
Long-term disability begins when short-term disability ends. Benefits become effective after 26 weeks of continuous leave due to a chronic illness or disability. Benefits include 60% of employee's earnings.
Short-Term and Long-Term Disability is offered to all full-time employees. VRS Hybrid participants are eligible to elect this benefit for the first 12-months of employment, until they have satisfied the 12-month waiting period. The employee is solely responsible for the monthly premiums if elected.
Critical Illness Insurance is administered by The Standard Insurance Company. The employee is solely responsible for the monthly premiums if elected.
